The Cubs have a colourful evening celebrating the Indian festival of light

Our Cub section enjoyed a lovely evening on our local recreation area getting totally messy and colourful.

Headed by their Akela and her leadership team the Cub section had a wonderful evening tonight celebrating the Indian festival of light. They expressed this by taking part in a spectacular colour run using coloured corn flour during games on the Rec. All of the Cubs were totally covered in different paint powder, but Akela maintained remarkably un marked (the signs of a good Akela!)

The leadership team of adults and young leaders joined in the fun getting totally covered in paint powder. The fabulous evening was finished off with Indian snacks and a presentation of excellent head torches for each and every Cub symbolising the festival of light. But more importantly to use on the up coming Cub Camp at Downe.

A great evening in the warm sunshine, well done Cubs.
