About Us

Beavers is where the Scouting adventure begins in Hildenborough. The young people in our Beaver Colony enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends.

Participation rather than meeting set standards is the key approach, and there are a range of challenge awards and badges available that Beaver Scouts can gain during their time in the section. Believed to be the most important section of Scouting as it sets their foundation to build upon during their Scouting experience.

The transition into Cub Scouts takes place at the age of 8 years during which the youngster will gain their Moving-On Award.

The Leadership Team

We have a dedicated team of both adult and young leaders who give up their time every Thursday evening to run Beavers:
