Scouting during the Coronavirus Lockdown

Date: 11th Apr 2020 Author: Josh Barkaway

In line with UK Government rules, regular face-to-face scouting in Hildenborough and throughout the UK as a whole has been suspended until further notice. All members of 8th Tonbridge Scouts have been sent ideas for activities that they may like to do in their homes to work towards badges, while this situation continues. In the meantime, members may like to see a video put together by Hildenborough Explorer and 8th Tonbridge Young Leader Josh, of what our leaders and their families have been doing during the lockdown !

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
