Remembrance Day 2018 – Our Village Remembers 100yrs WW1

Posted on 11 November 2018

Our Group once again took centre stage at this years Remembrance Day Service in the village.

All our sections, supported by the Guides and Brownies and St John’s Church remembered the fallen service men and women across all conflicts but particularly WW1. Our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers laid wreaths at the Hildenborough Memorial as well as reading prayers and the names of the fallen war hero’s. It was lovely to see the village turn out in high numbers to pay their respects on this day.

We are very grateful to the Church, Choir, Parish Council, Boys Brigade Band and George Gorham who all make this such a wonderful day.

Our biggest thanks go to our fabulous young people and the leadership team that support and develop our young people, special thanks to Russ for organising all sections and making sure everyone knew where to be and what to do.

We have attached a number of images captured during the day.
