As a local scout group we are privileged to benefit from a fantastic group of leaders providing unerring commitment and personal time supporting the constructive development of our community. Many of you will know Martin Tracey as one of the most enthusiastic, hard working and energetic members of our team and a true gentleman within the community. Now it’s time to show Martin our appreciation and also demonstrate the strength of our community to those most in need.

On behalf of one of our local families, Martin is participating in the Duchenne Dash 2017.

Here is an important message from Martin:

“As part of a team I will be cycling 300km from London to Paris within 24 hours, on behalf of a little boy ‘Connor’ who is local to me and attends my own child’s school.”

Please can you help me raise my target or more to help end this awful disease. Many thanks for you kind help!

The Duchenne Dash is a gruelling 24 hour bike ride from London to Paris in aid of Duchenne UK. We are seeking a treatment for the biggest genetic killer of children, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a muscle wasting disease that leads to paralysis and death in all cases. The event starts in London on Friday June 9th and ends in Paris, under the Eiffel Tower, on Saturday June 10th.

So please do support Martin and Connor in as large or as small way as possible. Through donations, spreading the word and your thoughts and best wishes you WILL make a huge difference.

Many thanks for your kind support.
